DESCRIPTION:The Cambridge University German Society warmly invites you to 
 our first speaker event of Easter Term!\n\nWolfgang Silbermann heads the d
 ivision for speeches and publications in the Office of the Federal Preside
 nt of Germany\, Dr Frank-Walter Steinmeier. He has worked for Dr Steinmeie
 r in various prior positions: as Economic Policy Advisor during his campai
 gn for the chancellorship in 2009\, as Legislative Aid during Dr Steinmeie
 r’s tenure as Leader of the Opposition in the German Bundestag\, and as 
 Advisor and Chief Speechwriter in the Federal Foreign Office. \n\nBefore e
 ntering the public service\, Wolfgang worked as a consultant at McKinsey &
  Co.\, Berlin. He holds a BA in Philosophy\, Politics\, and Economics from
  the University of Oxford as well as a Master in Public Policy from Harvar
 d University.\n\nAt our event\, Mr Silbermann will give a talk entitled 'C
 hallenging Times for German Democracy – and why You should get engaged!'
