DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in the social\, legal and technological iss
 ues related to Open Knowledge? Ever wondered about how things like "Open A
 ccess" and "Open Source" could be relevant to you. If so come along to the
  "Cambridge Open Knowledge Meetup" to hear about recent developments\, dis
 cuss the legal and licensing issues\, and debate the practicalities of ope
 n approaches to knowledge "production".\n\nThe focus at these events is on
  open discussion though we do start out with some (brief) presentations. A
 t this first event we'll be hearing from:\n\n* Rufus Pollock\, Emmanuel Co
 llege and the Open Knowledge Foundation - on discovering and installing op
 en knowledge packages using CKAN.\n\n* Francis Irving of PublicWhip.org an
 d mySociety - on freeing Government data\, and travel-time maps.\n\n* Jim 
 Downing of the Unilever Cambridge Centre for Molecular Informatics - on Op
 en Source and Open Access in Chemistry.\n\nGenerally\, the programme is qu
 ite flexible so if you'd like to give a brief talk or update on something
