DESCRIPTION:In this presentation\, I will give an overview of the efforts
at Xilinx\nResearch to create innovative new tools and methods for FPGA sy
stem\ndesign. Our work focuses on two major design technologies. First\,
how\ncan we enhance the FPGA design flow to allow designers to make\nobje
 ctive\, early design decisions at the system-level? Second\, FPGA\nrecon
figuration has tantalized FPGA users for more than a decade yet\ncommercia
l applications have been slow to appear. I'll present work\nfrom Xilinx
Research that is moving reconfiguration towards a mainstream\nFPGA design
technology\, including an innovative way to access FPGA\nbitstreams as an
 interactive\, live file system.\n
