DESCRIPTION:Many complex tubular organs\, including kidney and lungs\, beg
in as a flat\nlayer of cells. The cellular events that underlie the transi
tion from a\nflat tissue to a 3D structure are not well understood. To add
ress this\nproblem\, I use a simplified tubular organ in the fruit fly emb
ryo to\nfollow cells over time. During my talk I will explain the tools I
use to\nstudy cell behaviours and new insights on early stages of tube\nde
 velopment.\n
