 unar Exploration"\nNext year it will be fifty years since Neil Armstrong t
 ook his 'one small step'. In this short talk\, Carolin will look at the pr
 ospects for future lunar exploration. We live in an era when several count
 ries have already embarked on programmes that should ultimately return hum
 ans to the Moon. What are the challenges inherent in this ambition? What a
 re the stages of lunar exploration? And most importantly\, why should we v
 enture back to the Moon - what is the science that can be achieved: of the
  Moon\, from the Moon\, and on the Moon? \n\nSpeaker - Prof Carolin Crawfo
 rd\nDr Carolin Crawford is the Public Astronomer at the Institute of Astro
 nomy at Cambridge University\, and a Fellow of Emmanuel College. Originall
 y an observational astronomer with a special interest in the largest galax
 ies in the Universe\, her research was carried out alongside – and later
  eclipsed by – a growing role in the public communication of science. Ca
 rolin can now often be found discussing astronomical matters with a wide v
 ariety of audiences\, including on both national and local radio. She runs
  the Astronomy outreach programme at Cambridge\, including weekly public o
 pen evenings every Wednesday through the winter season. \n\nSciScreen\nThe
