DESCRIPTION:\nIn this talk\, I will briefly review the quest for observing
  planets in their formation stages\, and present a method that can provide
  protoplanet detections and measurement of their mass. I will show prelimi
 nary results from our recent ALMA long baseline observations of the gas ki
 nematics around candidate circumplanetary discs (CPDs)\, and continuum obs
 ervations of a particular ringed system.  We could finish the talk by disc
 ussing how we can constrain physical parameters in planet formation theori
 es using long baseline observations.
