DESCRIPTION:In the modular case\, determining the structure of the tensor 
 product of two simple modules of a reductive group\, L(m) x L(n)\, is not 
 a trivial task.  The problem has been "solved" in the case G=SL_2 and G=SL
 _3.  In this talk I will motivate briefly how the problem of computing L(m
 ) x L(n) can be reduced to the restricted weights\, and work through an ex
 ample or two of how to calculate the structure of these modules.  Along th
 e way we will encounter combinatorial ways to compute the blocks of SL_2\,
  standard modules\, costandard modules\, tilting modules\, and their cores
 .
