DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;It is well know that symplecticity plays a fundamentall
 y important role in Lagrangian and Hamiltonian&nbsp\;systems. Numerical me
 thods preserving symplecticity (or multisymplecticity for PDEs) have been&
 nbsp\;greatly developed and applied during last decades.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;In t
 his talk\, we will show how the variational&nbsp\;bicomplex\, a double coc
 hain complex on jet manifolds\, provides a natural framework for understan
 ding&nbsp\;multisymplectic systems. The discrete counterpart\, discrete mu
 ltisymplectic systems on the difference&nbsp\;variational bicomplex will b
