 Come to Trinity College to hear from renowned chemist\, popular textbook a
 uthor\, and the third speaker of the IYPT Symposium – Dr Peter Wothers M
 BE! Known for his outreach efforts in promoting chemistry to young student
 s and members of the public\, as well as his joint publications of Organic
  Chemistry\, Chemical Structure and Reactivity\, and Why Chemical Reaction
 s Happen\, Dr Wothers is currently a teaching fellow at St Catharine’s C
 ollege\, Cambridge. Dr Wothers’ personal interest in the history of chem
 istry has led to a great collection of antique science books\, which he di
 splayed at an IYPT exhibition last March.\n\nTCSS and ChemSoc have come to
 gether\, on occasion of the IUPAC International Year of Periodic Table of 
 Chemical Elements 2019\, to bring you this talk as part of the larger IYPT
  Celebration Symposium. It will take place in the Old Combination Room\, s
 tarting at 15:00. The talk has free entry\, and refreshments will be provi
