DESCRIPTION:I will show that Intersection Theory (for twisted
de Rham cohomology) rules the algebra of Feynman i
ntegrals. In particular\, I will address the probl
em of the direct decomposition of Feynman integral
s into a basis of master integrals\, showing that
it can by achieved by projection\, using intersect
ion numbers for differential forms. After\nintrodu
cing a few basic concepts of intersection theory\,
I will show the application of this novel method\
, first\, to special mathematical functions\, and\
, later\, to Feynman integrals\, also explaining h
ow differential equations and dimensional recurren
ce relations for master Feynman integrals can be d
irectly built by means of intersection\nnumbers. T
he presented method exposes the geometric structur
e beneath Feynman integrals\, and offers the compu
tational advantage of bypassing the system-solving
strategy characterizing the standard reduction al
gorithms\, which are based on integration-by-parts
identities.\nExamples of applications to multi-lo
op graphs contributing to multiparticle scattering
\, involving both massless and massive particles a
re presented.\n(based on: arXiv:1810.03818\, arXiv
:1901.11510\, arXiv:1907.02000)\n\n\nThe slides of
the presentation can be found "here":http://www.h
