DESCRIPTION:Exponentially small terms are often key to understanding the s
tructure of asymptotic solutions to differential equations with small para
meters. Often these are singular perturbations in which the unperturbed so
lution does not arise from the limit of the perturbation tending to zero.
I will be looking at one such example of this in the Kuramoto-Sivashinsky
equation and techniques for finding these exponentially small terms\, alon
g with their associated Stokes and anti-Stokes lines.
