SUMMARY:How deep should one go to get the inertial range right? - Sreeniva

DESCRIPTION:Theoretical and empirical arguments will be presented to show
that the grid resolution in direct numerical simulations ought to be finer
than previously thought. Error estimates for poorer resolutions will be p
resented. By going deep in the dissipation region\, it may be possible to
recover inertial range properties at finite Reynolds numbers.
