 ssing\, what are the knock-on effects of our actions\, and what should we 
 do first? Do we all need to become vegetarian? How can we fly in a low-car
 bon world? Should we frack? How can we take control of technology? Does it
  all come down to population? And\, given the global nature of the challen
 ges we now face\, what on Earth can any of us do?"\n*Berners-Lee* is an En
 glish researcher and writer on carbon footprint\, currently the fellow of 
 the Institute for Social Futures at Lancaster University. His books includ
 e How Bad are Bananas\, The Burning Question and There is No Planet B\, wh
 ere he has researched into ways to live sustainably. In There is No Planet
  B\, Berners-Lee has outlined the big-picture perspective on the environme
 ntal and economic challenges of the day\, and traced through to the underl
 ying roots – questions of how we live and think.\n\nFree wine\, soft dri
 nks and vegan food will be provided - with a great opportunity for network
 ing after the talk.\n\n_Accessibility Access_: There are disabled toilets 
 in the Winstanley lecture theatre\, and is accessible via lift\, with spac
