 ts 10th Anniversary Lecture\, to be delivered by Philippe Sands QC and fol
 lowed by a drinks reception.\n\nPhilippe Sands QC is a barrister at Matrix
  Chambers with a broad practice and extensive experience in international 
 and human rights law. He is also a Professor of Laws and Director of the P
 roject on International Courts and Tribunals at UCL. He has appeared befor
 e many international courts and advises on issues such as the immunity of 
 heads of state from the jurisdiction of national and international courts\
 , the violation of fundamental human rights and individual violations of i
 nternational criminal law.\n\nHis work extends far beyond legal practice. 
 The author of 16 books\, his written work covers subjects such as the lega
 lity of the 2003 Iraq War ('Lawless World') and the Bush administration's 
 use of 'enhanced interrogation techniques' post-9/11 ('Torture Team'). His
  book 'East West Street: On the Origins of Genocide and Crimes against Hum
 anity' formed the basis for a documentary ('My Nazi Legacy: What Our Fathe
 rs Did')\, and he wrote and presented the 2018 Radio 4 documentary 'The Ra
 tline'\, investigating the means by which senior Nazis escaped justice. \n
