DESCRIPTION:It is with great pleasure that I introduce the first informal 
 lunchtime seminar of Michaelmas term. Dr Robert Harding is a Senior Resear
 ch Associate in the Civilizations in Contact research project\, which is a
  three-year research project under the auspices of the Faculty of Asian an
 d Middle Eastern Studies. The project has offices in Sir Vivien Fuchs Hous
 e (otherwise known as 78 Barton Road) in Wolfson College. The Project is f
 unded by the Golden Web Foundation. Dr Harding received his PhD in archaeo
 logy from the University of Cambridge\, and has taught at Birkbeck College
  and UCL.
