DESCRIPTION:Machine learning algorithms are now being deployed to solve re
 al world problems.  These algorithms are thus reinventing how many jobs ar
 e performed.  In my talk I would like to take advantage of the word discus
 sion in the name of your group.  I would thus like to explain how I think 
 these technologies might impact universities in the hope of starting a con
 versation.  I will first discuss the threats I think these algorithms pres
 ent to universities.  I will then discuss ways that we might counter these
  threats.
