DESCRIPTION:We have an addiction to fossil fuels\, and it's not sustainabl
 e. To have a meaningful discussion of sustainable energy\, \nwe need clear
 \, simple numbers\, so that we can\nunderstand just how big the challenge 
 is\, and avoid being conned by greenwash and grand-sounding schemes that d
 on't actually work. This talk will dispel some myths\, will challenge pre-
 conceptions\, and will focus attention on actions that really make a diffe
 rence.\n\nDavid MacKay is a Professor in Physics at the University of Camb
 ridge. He has just published a book on sustainable energy.\n
