DESCRIPTION:This presentation examines the history of the Royal Dutch Shel
 l scenarios from 1967. The scenarios were integrated in planning at Shell 
 as tools for managing uncertainty in global time and space relations of oi
 l after 1967. Shell strategically used the scenarios to meet arguments of 
 oil as a limited resource\, and to create images of a future oil market do
 minated by innovation\, creativity\, and sustainable solutions.
