DESCRIPTION:Aerosols are one of the most likely transmission routes of the
SARS-CoV-2 virus causing COVID-19. By using state-of-the-art models and m
easurements\, we provide simple theoretical estimates of the evolution of
the suspended viral dose associated with respiratory droplets. We will dis
cuss the time scales and droplet sizes characteristic of coughing and spea
king\, applying these estimates to three canonical fluid mechanics problem
 s for insight on aerosol/droplet transmission.\n
