DESCRIPTION:The double affine Hecke algebra (DAHA) of type C has special p
roperties (6 parameters!) and distinguished quotients. The Macdonald polyn
omials for this Hecke algebra are the Koornwinder polynomials and the\nAsk
ey-Wilson polynomials. One interesting quotient of the DAHA is the two bo
undary Temperley-Lieb algebra. The 2 boundary Temperley-Lieb algebra point
s the way to a family of centralizer algebras which includes the 2 boundar
y BMW (Birman-Murakami-Wenzl) algebras. This talk will be a medley of vign
ettes \naround double affine type C braid groups and quotient algebras.\n
