DESCRIPTION:Mitochondria are dynamic organelles that provide cells with en
ergy and metabolites needed for survival and growth even during dramatic c
hanges in diet\, stress and development.  Additionally\, metabolites serv
e as key signaling molecules and enable communication within cells and bet
ween cells. Here I will discuss our efforts in identifying novel molecular
mechanisms that promote anti-tumour immune control. I will also discuss w
ays to study how changes in systemic states\, such as diet and age alter t
hese cellular and molecular mechanisms. Ultimately\, we are interested in
understanding how these molecular mechanisms impact cellular function\, n
ormal tissue homeostasis\, and disease progression.\n
