DESCRIPTION:The rapidly evolving field of microfluidics\, in which fluids 
 are manipulated\nat a micro- or even nanoscopic scale\, raises new questio
 ns about the\nbehaviour of liquids at increasingly small scales. I will ex
 plore this is by\nmaking use of colloidal systems and I will focus on the 
 dynamic and static\nbehaviour of fluid interfaces in confinement.
