 ome state and which is approximated by a sequence of discrete time regener
 ative processes. We give conditions so that the naturally defined local ti
 me (which counts the number of visits to the regenerative state) of the ap
 proximating processes has a scaling limit.&nbsp\;\nWe discuss previous cas
