DESCRIPTION:In the presentation an optimization method utilizing the yello
 w saddle goatﬁsh algorithm&nbsp\; with a new ﬁtness function will be p
 roposed to design two types of fractional-variable-order PID (FVOPID) digi
 tal controllers for the automatic voltage regulator (AVR) system. Simulati
 ons and comparisons of the results will be presented\, showing that variab
 le-order control can perform better than the existing solutions for the AV
 R system. Additionally\,&nbsp\; a stability analysis of a closed-loop syst
 em by utilisation of the Nyquist stability criterion will be disscussed.&n
