DESCRIPTION:The Vicsek model is widely used to model collective motion. In
  this talk\, I will present recent results on the well-posedness of the ki
 netic equation and the mean-field limit in the presence of a singularity i
 n the dynamics. This singularity appears when the flux of the particles va
 nishes.This is joint work with Marc Briant (Paris Descartes) and Antoine D
 iez (Imperial College London).
