DESCRIPTION:We give a conjectured formula ex[ressing special values of Zet
 a-functions in terms of motivic cohomology\, singular cohomology\, and der
 ived de Rham cohomology.&nbsp\; This formula implies the conjecture of Bir
 ch and Swinnerton-Dyer for Jacobians of curves over number fields and conj
 ectures relating Dedekind zeta-functions to algebraic K-theory.
