DESCRIPTION:In the first part of the talk we will consider motivic Euler c
 haracteristics as they relate to splittings in the motivic stable homotopy
  category. In the second part of the talk we will apply results on such mo
 tivic Euler characteristics to prove a motivic analogue of the Segal-Becke
 r Theorem for Algebraic K-Theory.\n&nbsp\;\nAll of this is based on joint 
 work with Pablo Pelaez and&nbsp\; Gunnar Carlsson.
