DESCRIPTION:Cluster varities of Fock-Goncharov are varieties with a toric
 atlas constructed from a seed torus and a combinatorial process called mut
 ation. The Grassmannian Gr(4\,n) has structure of a cluster variety and al
 so encodes the kinematic space of some flavors of n particle N=4 super Yan
 g-Mills theory. I will breifly recall how cluster monomials appear as ampl
 itude symbols and as cannonical basis elements when the Grassmannian is of
  finite mutation type (n<8) and how to use mutation invariant functions to
  understand new symbols and basis elements when n=8. Based on the work of
 my PhD thesis.&nbsp\;
