DESCRIPTION:I will write down the "massive" SL(2) Kronecker-Eisenstein ser
ies from arXiv:1910.02745 (with Bringmann and Gannon)\, and briefly summar
ize some work in progress with Daniel Persson on "massive" theta lifts. I
will try to explain why I believe that "massive deformations" exist much m
ore broadly than for SL(2) ("Kaluza-Klein reduction" in physics). More imp
ortantly\, I think it would be fun to discuss what "mass" means (or should
mean?) to mathematicians\, for example in representation theory.
