DESCRIPTION:Abstract\n\nQuantum computing is an emerging new technology wh
 ich promises to completely change computing as we know it. In particular\,
  the advent of quantum computers poses a serious threat to cybersecurity. 
 Encryption methods hailed as ‘unbreakable’ by classical computers can 
 be cracked by quantum computers in a matter of hours. In this talk\, we wi
 ll discuss the basics of quantum computing and how it could be used to att
 ack common encryption algorithms. We also introduce and evaluate the top c
 andidates to replace our current encryption methods for a post-quantum era
 .  \n \nSpeakers\n\nLeading this presentation is Data Reply’s Quantum Co
 mputing Consultant Anuj Doshi\, an Oxford alumnus who has been working on 
 quantum computing applications for over a year\, specializing in quantum c
 ircuit architectures in machine learning. Joining him is recent Cambridge 
 graduate Vasundhara Prasad\, who has previously worked on financial uses o
 f gate-based quantum computing and is now working on other quantum computi
