 n has been picking up momentum significantly over the past several decades
 . Algorithmic improvements and approximations are making this approach pra
 ctically accessible for many problems where it would previously have been 
 considered impossible. In this talk\, I will present a broad overview of t
 he Bayesian approach\, along with some attractive properties and some rece
 nt promising open research directions.
