DESCRIPTION:This talk is a great opportunity to learn about the latest dis
 coveries at Vindolanda\, one of the UK's most important Roman sites.\n \nR
 ecent excavations at Vindolanda have continued to produce a wonderful arra
 y of artefacts\, evidence and buildings from the earliest occupation by Ro
 man soldiers and their support communities. This talk draws together some 
 of the finest examples and discoveries from the recent excavations.\n\nAnd
 y is the third generation of his family to direct excavations for the Vind
 olanda Trust. He has worked full-time at Vindolanda since 1996\, becoming
