DESCRIPTION:Different types of bedforms can arise from the interplay betwe
en a fluid flow and a granular bed. The most common is the crescent-shaped
dune\, called Barchan\, whose mid-line could be assumed to behave as a tw
o-dimensional dune. They can be found in some environments\, such as deser
ts\, rivers\, or even on the surface of Mars. In this study\, we compare t
he morphology of the midline of barchans with 2D dunes and track the evolu
tion of dunes under bi-modal changes in the flow direction. In addition\,
it will be presented results from dunes interacting with static objects an
d how different topographies can affect dunes' morphology.
