DESCRIPTION:Speaker’s Bio\n\nDr. Nakamura's translational research focus
 es on pluripotent stem cell-based cardiac remuscularization using various 
 preclinical models to optimize the efficacy and safety of cardiomyocyte tr
 ansplantation. Clinically\, he performs complex coronary interventions and
  leads novel gene- and cell-based clinical trials for the University of Wa
 shington. Dr. Nakamura obtained his medical degree at the University of Ca
 lifornia\, San Francisco\, and clinical training at the Massachusetts Gene
 ral Hospital/Harvard Medical School with post-doctoral studies at the Mass
 achusetts Institute of Technology. He runs the large animal studies for (p
 reviously Sana Biotechnology) and for Chuck Murry\, including edited cell 
 therapy and trials on gene therapy.
