DESCRIPTION:Quantum information and computation provide a transversal and 
 operational perspective on physics by studying what is feasible and achiev
 able\, within the axioms of quantum mechanics and having access to some re
 sources. In this talk\, I shall review how some of the ideas in these rese
 arch areas give a sharper characterisation of old ideas and expectations i
 n quantum (semi-classical) gravity while opening up potentially new questi
 ons.
