DESCRIPTION:We introduce a bottom-up mechanical model to relate tissues&#3
 9\; dynamical and mechanical properties to intercellular and subcellular m
 echanical processes\, which we describe in unprecedented detail. Our novel
  computational model overcomes the limitations of Vertex/Voronoi models\, 
 centroid models and phase fields one. It provides a unified description of
  motile isolated deformable cells\, their interaction and aggregation into
  confluent tissues\, the lamellipodium-mediated dynamics and mechanotransd
 uction. In this talk\, I briefly introduce our novel model and use it to e
 xamine how mechanotransduction enables tissues to flow confluently when un
 der tension.\n&nbsp\;
