DESCRIPTION:We consider multiphase-field models to describe cellular arran
 gements and their dynamics. How do topological arrangements influence mech
 anical properties? What is the impact of jamming/unjamming transitions on
 collective behaviour? And\, if considered on curved surfaces\, which role
 plays curvature in these processes. We give an overview of these topics\,
 relate our findings to experimental studies and provide an outlook how the
 se packing problems could help to describe morphogenesis.&nbsp\;
