DESCRIPTION:The Gelfand-Graev representation is an important representatio
 n of a finite group G of Lie type that contains each 'generic' representat
 ion with multiplicity one. Its endomorphism ring E is therefore commutativ
 e. Inside E there is a lattice of integral endomorphisms (after inverting 
 the defining characteristic of G). I will report on work of Tzu-Jan Li\, a
 nd Li and myself\, determining this lattice\, and explain how it may be re
 lated to the moduli space of tamely ramified representations of a local fi
 eld.
