DESCRIPTION:The use of low carbon hydrogen offers a potential solution to 
 many of the challenges of delivering Net Zero. From mobility\, to home hea
 ting\, to industrial decarbonisation\, and on to energy transport and stor
 age. In most cases there is an alternative option that looks more efficien
 t\, lower cost or technically less demanding. This seminar will take a who
 le systems view to unpicking where hydrogen might play a role in the futur
 e energy mix.\n \nJon Saltmarsh is Chief Technology Officer at Energy Syst
 ems Catapult\, helping accelerate net zero energy innovation. Prior to thi
 s\, he worked in what is now the Department for Energy Security and Net Ze
 ro providing technical advice and research on how to deliver the energy tr
 ansformation\, including initiating some of the major hydrogen initiatives
