DESCRIPTION:This talk will try and provide some advice and tips on how to 
 take an interest in doing some clinical research through to making a succe
 ssful application for research funding. The talk will concentrate on the c
 urrent opportunities for internal research funding but will be of relevanc
 e for all types of grant application. The talk will cover how to identify 
 a good research question and convert it into a study design. Some practica
 l advice on implementation will be included and there should be an opportu
