DESCRIPTION:This talk will discuss the concept of picturebook series\, wit
 h a specific focus on the narrative components of paratexts and intertextu
 ality. The talk lies on the premise that picturebook series can be defined
 \, not only by their particular ‘internal’ narrative components\, rela
 ted to the two independent terms that shape the form\; but also through th
 eir paratextual and intertextual components. These textual particulars wil
 l be demonstrated to suggest\, and reveal their status as series texts. \n
