DESCRIPTION:The Cambridge University Energy Network (CUEN) is delighted to
  welcome two research students from the University of Cambridge to partici
 pate in a Discussion Group on the *impact of aviation on the environment*:
 \n\n\n*Antony Evans*\n\n_(Aviation Integrated Modelling Project\, Institut
 e for Aviation and the Environment)_\n\nAnthony will be talking about the 
 growth of aviation and its future environmental impact. He will also intro
 duce the Aviation Integrated Model\, a policy assessment tool for analysin
 g aviation\, environment and economic interactions at local and global lev
 els. Antony will discuss some of the challenges associated with policy ass
 essment and policy implementation in aviation.\n\n\n*Annela Anger-Kraavi*\
 n\n_(Cambridge Centre for Climate Change Mitigation Research\, Department 
 of Land Economy)_\n\nAnnela will be discussing the possible strategies to 
 mitigate this impact. So far there have been no global binding agreements 
 for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the aviation sector and\, as th
 e regulation of emissions from international transport is one of the negot
 iation items for COP-15 next month\, Annela will be discussing the possibl
 e policies for aviation and their impacts on the global economy.\n\nCome a
