DESCRIPTION:Following Woodhouse\, Mason and Fletcher\, I review the twisto
 r construction of stationary\, axisymmetric space-times and Ricci-flat 4-m
 etrics with toric symmetry\, in terms of holomorphic line-bundles over a r
 educed twistor space. The construction focusses attention on a patching ma
 trix as the basic datum of a solution\, and it is then a question of inter
 est to catalogue these matrices for known solutions\, including the Chen-T
 eo metric of 2015. Based on joint work with Maciej Dunajski.
