DESCRIPTION:Spin(7) manifolds are 8-dimensional smooth manifolds which adm
 it a special type of 4-form. Their study was initially motivated by the se
 arch for manifolds with holonomy Spin(7)\, one of the two sporadic groups 
 on Berger's list. In an effort to better understand these manifolds\, we p
 ropose a notion of twistor space for them. This is a report on work in pro
 gress with Spiro Karigiannis\, Lucia Martin-Merchan\, and Aleksandar Miliv
 ojevic.
