DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\nThe existence of a global diagonal asymptotic symmetr
 y group in classical general relativity relies on the conjectured antipoda
 l matching of the asymptotic symmetry groups at past and future null infin
 ity in the limit of spatial infinity. In this talk\, I will explore how Fr
 iedrich's conformal approach\, particularly the cylinder at spatial infini
 ty\, provides a framework for proving the matching of asymptotic charges a
 ssociated with these symmetry groups. Given enough time\, I will also brie
 fly discuss related results for the asymptotic charges associated with spi
 n-0\, spin-1 and spin-2 fields in Minkowski spacetime.
