DESCRIPTION:The absence of a light Higgs boson is often considered the mai
n feature of dynamical Electroweak Symmetry Breaking (EWSB). However it is
conceivable\, and perhaps preferable\, to consider the situation where a
new strong interaction underlies EWSB and yet there exists a light scalar
resonance with couplings qualitatively similar to those of the Standard M
odel Higgs. One can\nthink of two such examples\, in one case the light sc
alar is a pseudo-Goldstone composite Higgs while in the other it is a natu
rally light dilaton. I will show that\, in both cases\, the deviations fro
m the Standard Model are tightly constrained by the relevant non-linearly
realized approximate symmetries. I will discuss the relevant observables t
 o distinguish them.
