 cess with open boundaries (open ASEP). We give an overview of recent resul
 ts on mixing times for the open ASEP. In particular\, we discuss mixing ti
 mes for the open ASEP at the triple point\, which is closely related to th
 e open KPZ equation. This talk is based on joint work with Patrik Ferrari.
