DESCRIPTION:In mental health science\, there has been frustratingly slow p
rocess in understanding and developing new treatments for anxiety\, depres
sion and psychosis\, as well as in predicting which treatments will work f
or whom and in what contexts. To intervene early and deliver optimal and i
ndividualised care to patients\, we need to develop safe and effective int
erventions that target specific symptoms and provide reliable predictions
of clinical trajectories. Better use of existing evidence and digital shar
ed decision-making tools are one way to improve efficiency in clinical car
e towards these ends. The PETRUSHKA trial aims to personalise antidepressa
nt treatment in the real world settings\, using both statistical and machi
ne learning approaches and combining evidence synthesis with patients’ p
