DESCRIPTION:A transfer system is a graph on a lattice satisfying certain r
estriction and composition properties. They were first studied on the latt
ice of subgroups of a finite group in order to examine equivariant homotop
y commutativity\, which then unlocked a wealth of links to other topics. O
n a finite lattice\, transfer systems can be used to classify different ho
motopy theories using model categories. The talk will involve plenty of ex
 amples.
