DESCRIPTION:In this talk\, I will survey recent progress on random multipl
 icative functions\, a probabilistic model for multiplicative functions. I 
 will also discuss its connections to other problems\, such as the Erdos mu
 ltiplication table problem\, Fydorov-Hiary-Keating conjecture\, and Polya'
 s conjecture on positive definite quadratic characters.
